City Girls rapper Yung Miami made an appearance on the latest episode of the Starz crime drama, “BMF.” The entertainer portrays a character named Deanna Washington, a woman married to an affiliate of Big Meech (Demetrius Flenory Jr.).

During her scene, Miami really showed off her acting chops when she asked, “Meech where’s my husband?” After he tells her there was a shooting outside the club and hands her his necklace, she begins to cry and eventually slaps Meech out of anger.

She then yells, “I want whoever did this to pay. Get the f**k outta here!” While it was made to be a serious moment, fans who watched the episode found it to be more hilarious. One rude commenter said, “Yung Miami can’t even talk how tf y’all expect her to act?” Another added, “Nah this BMF episode was good but they could’ve switched Yung Miami with somebody else. She can’t act for shi*t.” A third Twitter user said, “Yung Miami can’t act to save her life stick to rap.”

Despite the negative feedback, many people came to her defense including “Power” actor and fellow rapper Method Man. While being stopped by TMZ this week, he was asked if he had any advice for Yung Miami amid all the criticism.

He told reporter Seleah Monae that although he didn’t catch the episode with her in it, he says he loves Yung Miami and shouted out “f*ck people” specifically the ones who are “mean.” With a message directly to the “Act Up” artist, he emphasized that all the hate is just “white noise” while encouraging her to push forward.

What Has Yung Miami Said In Response To The Backlash?

As we previously reported, Yung Miami first tweeted, “If I’m crying why y’all laughing??? Y’all play too much,” she jokingly said. User Little Cutty later tweeted out to her, “So Today Y’all Hating On @YungMiami305? She Went From Scamming, finessing etc… To Rapping, Talk Show Hosting, & Acting… now y’all mad? Damned if you do… Damned if you don’t! I love to see ppl win in life, elevate, & give their family the world.” In response, she said, “The more they hate the more opportunities come!! It’s only the beginning for me!”

Yung Miami may have a lot of haters under her belt but they’re clearly not stopping her bag. On top of securing this gig, she scored a role in the Netflix film “You People” and even appeared on the show “Grown-ish” and the rate that she’s out, we’re sure will see her on our screens more often.
