#Socialites, it is being confirmed that Memphis rapper Gangsta Boo has sadly passed away today. Reports began surfacing online on Sunday afternoon (January 1, 2023) that the rapper was found dead in Memphis, and since Three 6 Mafia founder DJ Paul has confirmed.

Earlier in the day, several social media users shared live videos and photos of police cars outside of a home in Memphis, Tennessee. Some users claimed that the rapper was found dead on a porch of the home surrounded by patrol cars.

Since the various reports that have surfaced by those on the ground in Memphis, one of Three 6 Mafia’s founding members, DJ Paul, has confirmed the news of Gangsta Boo’s passing.

Taking to his official Instagram account, DJ Paul shared a photo of Gangsta Boo at some turntables. While he did not include a caption, is fully registered that the unconfirmed reports of the femcee’s passing was indeed true.

In addition to DJ Paul’s confirmation, several other celebrities and close friends of the femcee spoke out like rapper Daz Dillinger. He took to his Instagram account and shared a video of Gangsta Boo rapping and captioned the post, “Rest n peace to my good friend. I can’t believe it. This New Year is tragical. I love u boo. My girl.”

The cause of Gangsta Boo’s death is still unknown at this time.

Local law enforcement officials in Memphis also ended up confirming the news to local news stations. They revealed that Gangsta Boo, real name Lola Mitchell, was 43-years-old and was found dead at approximately 4 p.m.

Mitchell was the second female member of the Memphis Hip-Hop group Three 6 Mafia. She is revered as a pioneer in Memphis female rap. Her smash hit “Where Dem Dollas At,” is just one of many tracks that Gangsta Boo will forever be remembered by.
