Memo Claims Instagram Models Will Not Be Allowed In NBA Bubble

Before any NBA players are allowed to bring guests into the bubble, they would have to prove to officials their “long-term” relationships with non-family members.

As reported by the New York Post, league officials and players came to an agreement to keep any casual friends from entering the bubble which includes those who are “known by the player only through social media snd an intermediary”. The memo also states the following people are not allowed in the bubble: personal trainers, physical or massage therapists, personal chefs, hair/clothing stylists, tattoo artists, and current or future business partners, and certified agents.

A GM for the NBA claimed inviting casual guests i.e. Instagram models could cause internal issues among other players due to the nature of the bubble along with other factors.

Guests can start arriving at the bubble on August 31 since every team will have 17 rooms and will replace exiting teams. Family and friends are only allowed up to four adults per player and must quarantine for seven days at a different location or split among the team’s market. They are not allowed to leave the campus or go to Disney’s theme parks.

So far, there have been no new cases of COVID-19 among the NBA players and have managed to avoid any issues surrounding the virus. Some players are not a fan of the bubble due to the restrictions and its impact on their mental wellbeing.
