Grisham, who served either President Donald Trump or Melania Trump since the president launched his campaign in 2015, confirmed she was leaving in a statement but didn’t respond to questions about the reason. However, Wednesday’s attack on the Capitol by President Donald Trump’s supporters was an embarrassment to some White House officials, including Grisham, the people said.

“It has been an honor to serve the country in the White House,” she said in her statement posted on Twitter. “I am very proud to have been a part of Mrs. Trump’s mission to help children everywhere, and proud of the many accomplishments of this administration.” As of right now, it is not clear whether any other staffers in the Trump White House had resigned over the incident where a crowd of thousands of thugs/ pro-Trump extremists stormed the Capitol building, producing unprecedented scenes of brawling in the hallowed halls, leading to one death so far.

Trump told his supporters who broke into the Capitol as the two houses of Congress had gathered to certify the Electoral College vote to “go home now,” just hours after they marched on the Capitol at his urging and stormed the building. Now, because he showed leadership actions during such a serious time, congressional leaders reportedly gathered a secret meeting to discuss how to remove him STAT.
