We know that’s right! Megan Thee Stallion has won over her NBA baller boyfriend Klay Thompson’s parents after throwing down for Thanksgiving and cooking up an “unbelievable” dinner.
Ahead of this year’s Thanksgiving holiday, Klay Thompson’s father, Mychal Thompson, revealed that his son’s girlfriend, Houston rapper Megan Thee Stallion, would be cooking for the entire family. While appearing on ESPN LA on November 26, Mr. Thompson was asked if his wife and Klay’s mother, Julie Thompson, would be cooking this year.
The show’s hosts were shocked to learn that it wouldn’t be Julie, but Megan instead. One host said Klay bragged about Megan being “a great cook.” Mychal then said, “All Black women are good cooks. They know how to burn.”
On Friday (November 28), Megan Thee Stallion confirmed the big news as she shared a vlog to her TikTok. In the video, she showed herself preparing a whole dinner. And in the midst of cooking, she ran and did her own glam before sitting down to eat.
Megan cooked everything from the turkey, to the collard greens, BBQ-baked beans, mac and cheese, dressing, and more sides. She even said she ordered the decorations for the dinner table and more.
She said, “I was really nervous because I was like, ‘Dang. I’m really fine cook for my man and his whole family. I hope they love this ‘cause I gotta show them that I really love their son.’” Well, it worked. By the end of her video, Megan said Klay’s father, Mychal Thompson, praised her dinner and said she’s so talented that she could open her own restaurant.

Later that night, Klay, who plays for the Dallas Mavericks, had a game against the Los Angles Lakers in LA. During a post-game interview with ESPN LA, Mr. Thompson reiterated Megan’s comments, claiming her meal was the best Thanksgiving dinner he’d ever had. He said:
“The Thanksgiving dinner was the best Thanksgiving food I’ve ever eaten. Megan Thee Stallion should be Megan Thee Chef. That’s how good the food was. It was unbelievable. She went out of her way to make sure everybody was well-fed. We had to take tons of bags home. There were so many leftovers. So, our guests had to take home. And it was one of the best Thanksgivings we ever had, thanks to Megan.”
At the game, sitting courtside, Megan sat posted up alongside Klay’s mother, Julie Thompson. While speaking with ESPN LA, she said Mrs. Thompson also gave her a stamp of approval. She said, “Well, Miss Julie was the star of the show. Miss Julie is the hostess with the mostest.” Julie shyly shouted, “Stop!”
When asked, “How was Mychal as a guest of her cheffing,” Megan replied, “Mr. Thompson definitely said I could own my own restaurant. I’m glad I got the stamp of approval from the father. But, the mother!… Miss Julie was my number one stamp of approval.”
