Megan Thee Stallion Slams Her Label Over Album Release Dispute And Not Being Able To Put Out Music When She Wants: ‘We Almost Out’

The lead-up to the release of Megan Thee Stallion’s sophomore album — rumored to be called “Traumazine” — is seeing quite the messy rollout, with content from the upcoming record having already leaked online. The “Body” rapper addressed the matter in a series of tweets last week, but on Wednesday night, Stallion hopped back onto Twitter to issue fans with an update on where things stood as far as her new project is concerned.

The 27-year-old, who has shared an ongoing dispute with her record label 1501 Certified Entertainment, told her followers that the drama with honchos at the company is still occurring, with Stallion revealing that whenever she wants to drop new music, she is forced to make the request in court because of all the problems she’s been experiencing with 1501.

“Y’all know I always have problems with dropping my music under this label, all these games and having to go to court just to put out my art has been so stressful,” she tweeted. “Thank you hotties for rocking with me through the bullsh*t WE ALMOST OUT [clap emoji] LETS STAY FOCUSED AND RUN THIS LAST ONE UP.” In a follow up message, she urged fans to wait for her to announce any further details from her next album — capitlizing the word “ME” — which strongly implied that things concerning the project were being shared without her knowledge.

As previously mentioned, this is not the first time Stallion has lashed out against 1501, whom she seems to think is trying to sabotage the release of “Traumazine” given the endless issues they have had since 2020 when the Texas native wanted to renegotiate her deal, which the label allegedly wasn’t willing to cooperate on.

Last week, the “Savage” hitmaker told her fans that her label “hate me and sh*t always leak” as she joked the Hotties may as well start showing up to the studio and photoshoots, given that everything she’s been working on behind the scenes somehow finds its way on the internet before its release anyway.

She then asked the question in a separate tweet, “Why continue to choose peace when everyone else choosing violence??? […] Lol I got money I PAY FOR ALOT OF MY OWNNNN SHITTTTT I’ll start from scratch bc I’m a mf hustler BABYYYY.”

Stallion continued, “Why do ppl I don’t care abt even mention me lol like we don’t like EACH OTHERRRRR the feeling mutualllll stop saying my nameeeee.”

It’s still unclear when “Traumazine” will be released, but given that the campaign for Stallion’s new era appears to be underway, having recently put out her single “Pressurelicious” featuring Future, it’s fair to assume the record could be hitting stores and streaming platforms very soon.
