Megan Thee Stallion Feeling ‘Free’ As ‘Suga’ Drops Amid Legal Label Woes

Houston raptress Megan Thee Stallion has been very vocal about her recent legal woes with her label, which looked to prevent her from dropping her newest release, ‘Suga;’  which has already hit No. 1 on YouTube, No. 6 on Apple Music, and racked up over 1M streams on Spotify.

Ahead of the the EP’s midnight drop, Meg’s label CEO Carl Crawford, of 1501 Certified Entertainment, filed a motion to hold up the release as the two battle it out in court, which began after Meg requested to renegotiate her contract.

Fortunately for Meg, the judge denied Crawford’s request, allowing our fav Hot Girl to release the new project; which she learned at the same time us, adding, “When the judge granted it, it went up on the internet super fast. I’m like, Damn, how y’all know this before me? When I got the approval, I was like, Oh shit. Free me, I’m free!”

Meg tells Vanity Fair, “I was actually working on a whole album, I wanted it to really roll out and be this longer project. But when you got a window, you gotta take it, so I wanted to hurry up and give the Hotties something to sit with until I could actually put my album out.”
