The rap star released a statement to Houston Chronicle, saying the city still needs time to grieve what happened:

“Out of respect for the lives lost in Houston earlier this month, I have decided to cancel my show at 713 Music Hall on Dec 3. Houston is still healing and it’s important that our community be given the appropriate time to grieve. My heart goes out to all the families that are suffering during this difficult time.”

As we previously reported, ten people were killed and hundreds injured at Travis Scott’s Astroworld music festival in Houston, Texas, at NRG Park on Friday, November 5, after concertgoers tried to force themselves toward the stage. The dead ranged in age from 14 to 27. Some people appear to have been trampled, authorities said. About 50,000 people were attending the show.
