Megan Fox and Machine Gun Kelly who previously spoke about their dark romance with Glamour UK and admitted to consuming each other’s blood “for ritual purposes only,” are taking a little break.
A source close to the couple told Us Weekly, “Megan and MGK are currently on a break but are still in contact,” the source says of the actress, 36, and the artist, 32. “They are very hot and cold.”

The source went on to share, “They have stalled wedding planning to work on their issues. Their relationship is pretty volatile at the moment. “ Now, neither of the hot stars has publicly spoken out yet to deny or share more details about their rumored “break.” However, the source adds, “They are currently off, but still texting each other.”
Another source also told PEOPLE, that the couple’s close friends were doubtful they’d make it. “They’re not completely done,” the source said. “They’re still trying to sort through things, but most of their friends think it is likely over. They’re just not ready to totally call it yet.”
Fox first sparked breakup rumors over Super Bowl weekend after she deleted almost all her pics from Instagram and unfollowed him. At the time, she posted an Instagram with a Beyoncé lyric hinting at infidelity: “You can taste the dishonesty/ it’s all over your breath.”
However, she later denied cheating was the reason for their problems. Fox layer shared a statement to her Instagram on February 19 that has since been taken it down.
She wrote, “There has been no third-party interference in this relationship of any kind. That includes but is not limited to…actual humans, DMs, AI bots, or succubus demons. While I do hate to rob you of running random baseless news stories that would have been much more accurately written by ChatGPT, you need to let this story die and leave all of these innocent people alone now.”

The two debuted their romance back in 2020. After a strong two years, the stars got engaged in January 2022, although they had no set wedding date just yet, she shared how happy she was to be engaged to him.
“In July of 2020 we sat under this banyan tree. We asked for magic,” she captioned an Instagram video of the proposal on Wednesday, January 12. “We were oblivious to the pain we would face together in such a short, frenetic period of time. Unaware of the work and sacrifices the relationship would require from us but intoxicated off of the love. And the karma.”
Fox continued: “Somehow a year and a half later, having walked through hell together, and having laughed more than I ever imagined possible, he asked me to marry him. And just as in every lifetime before this one, and as in every lifetime that will follow it, I said yes. …and then we drank each other’s blood 1.11.22,” she said at the time.

Kelly also added, “‘Yes, in this life and every life,’” he wrote over a video showing her engagement ring. “Beneath the same branches we fell in love under, U brought her back to ask her to marry me.
“I know tradition is one ring, but I designed it with Stephen Webster to be two: the emerald (her birth stone) and the diamond (my birth stone) set on two magnetic bands of thorns that draw together as two halves of the same soul forming the obscure heart that is our love. 1-11-2022.”
