Maxwell is still going viral over his killer dance moves from his performances this year but now, he’s speaking out to let folks know that the jokes are on them!
In a tweet shared early Tuesday morning, the “Pretty Wings” artist clapped back at his critics. He said, “Y’all wanna laugh but your knees ain’t built like that. This the Maxwell Challenge. 🕺🏿”
The video that had been making its rounds online showed the 49-year-old flapping his legs for a good eight seconds. Fans were ultimately impressed by his sturdiness and strong legs and quickly compared him to Megan Thee Stallion, who’s known for hitting similar moves. One fan tweeted, “Seeing Maxwell turn into Maxwell Thee Stallion was not on my 2022 bingo card, but I’m living for it!💀” Another joked, “Y’all got Maxwell out here getting his eagle on. For what?!” A third said, “if my knees are still this sturdy after damn near half a century, I too will be doing this everywhere at all times.”
