The cause of death pertaining to Master P’s daughter Tytyana Miller’s passing over the summer has been revealed. According to PEOPLE, who cite the Los Angeles County Department of Medical Examiner-Coroner, the 25-year-old died of an accidental fentanyl overdose at a private residence on May 27.
Devastated by his daughter’s loss, Master P went on to share the heartbreaking news on social media, where one part of his caption read, “Mental illness & substance abuse is a real issue that we can’t be afraid to talk about. With God, we will get through this. #MyAngel.”

Per the DEA (Drug Enforcement Administration), the amount of fentanyl that would need to be in someone’s body to endure an overdose is small enough “to fit on the tip of a pencil,” and has been regarded as one of the biggest causes of overdose deaths in recent years.
Fentanyl, according to reports, is usually mixed into someone’s choice of drug without their knowledge. So, while a drug user may think they are taking cocaine or heroin, an alarming amount of cases — particularly in the past decade — have come from incidents where people had no idea their substance had been assorted with a deadly synthetic opioid.
“Our family is dealing with an overwhelming grief for the loss of my daughter Tytyana,” Master P said as he paid tribute to his daughter following her demise. “We respectfully request some privacy so that our family can grieve. We appreciate all of the prayers love and support.”

Tytyana had been open about issues with drugs in an episode of “Growing Up Hip Hop,” where her dad said he would try to help her overcome her bad habits while attempting to convince her in getting professional help.

Tytyana insisted that she could get clean without the need of having to go to a rehab facility, but Master P stressed that seeing someone who specializes in helping those who struggle with substance abuse was perhaps a wiser approach.
“By us doing this with my daughter hopefully we’ll send that same message to her mum – ‘You know, if you need to get help, we’re here for you,” the rap mogul said in a confessional scene, alluding that his estranged wife Sonya C. Miller may have been battling her own demons too.
