Rapper-turned-podcaster Mase claims seeing Dwyane Wade painting his nails is like “seeing Michael Jordan in lingerie.”
On a recent episode of Mase and Cam’ron‘s podcast, ‘It Is What It Is,‘ the two rappers admitted that they are still trying to get used to retired NBA player Dwyane Wade painting his nails. On the podcast episode, which dropped on January 17, just three days after D-Wade was honored by the Miami Heat, Cam and Mase spoke about the honor, but also about what surprised them most from the big occasion.
In a clip going viral from the episode, the two hosts sat in silence after the show’s third co-host/moderator Treasure Wilson, aka “Stat,” asked them what they thought about D-Wade’s painted nails, which were colored red, inspired by the Miami Heat colors.
Mase says, “D-Wade, D-Wade. This is like seeing [Michael] Jordan in lingerie. It’s just [..] pause.” Before Mase can even finish his sentence, Cam bursts out into uncontrollable laughter, and Mase follows. He eventually adds, “It’s just something you don’t want to see, man. I feel like it just ruins everything for you, you know?”
The two rappers continue uncontrollably laughing, and then Cam tries to catch his breath to let Mase know, “You talking about viral… you going viral today, n***a. You definitely going viral.” Mase adds, “You know, it’s like when you have somebody you looked up to, you appreciated their work as an athlete, and then they go and do this… It’s just like, we can’t do nothing with that, man.”

Cam tries to get some words out, but can’t stop laughing. Eventually, he catches his breath again and says, “Yo, Mase? You know what makes it even funnier? You not here and Stat not laughing ’cause she’s cool with the sh*t.”
Stat interjects, “I just don’t know what to say! I mean, there’s not much to it. If he paints his nails, he paints his nails. Like, A$AP Rocky‘s painted his nails. Harry Styles… Everybody’s been doing it, so it’s just like, that’s what I’ve been seeing, like. I don’t know. If you want to paint your nails, go ahead and paint your nails if that’s what you really want to do.”
Mase offers some advice to Wade and says, “This is what I would say to D-Wade. If you’re gonna do your nails, you’re gonna do your hair… do your lashes. Just go crazy. I would respect that more than just tip-toeing out. Just go crazy!” Cam’ron then starts laughing and Stat is left speechless.
