A Marine is currently under investigation after posting a video online claiming he was going to shoot Chinese people for causing the COVID-19 pandemic.

Pfc. Jarrett Morford,20, recorded himself on video using various racial slurs toward Chinese people and threatened to use a rifle to shoot them for bringing the coronavirus into the United States. According to the New York Post, the video of Morford was uploaded to Twitter on Thursday morning under the handle @MiCBarin in hopes to identify him. Morford also referenced President Donald Trump in the disturbing clip.

He says, “As the honorable Trump said on Twitter today, it was China’s fault. China is going to pay for what they’ve done to this country and the world. I don’t give a f–k!” The Windsor, Colorado resident recently graduated from boot camp in August and training for a communications position in Twentynine Palms, California.

A USMC spokesman said an investigation is currently underway and Morford’s video does not reflect their views:
“There is no place for racism in the Marine Corps. Those who can’t value the contributions of others, regardless of background, are destructive to our culture and do not represent our core values.”
