Marilyn Manson has been hit with many sexual assault accusations over the past year, but since investigators haven’t found any evidence to back up those claims, it looks as if the rocker won’t be getting indicted for his alleged wrongdoings. According to TMZ, one of the victims who had made some very stark assertions about the 53-year-old had reportedly provided insufficient proof to cops, which made their statement lack “some credibility issues” and fail to help build a legitimate case against Marilyn.
Law enforcement has been going above and beyond to scrape up any piece of evidence they can find based on what they’ve been told by the alleged victims, with the publication further reporting that all their findings will be presented to the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s office, who will have the final say on whether Marilyn will face charges or not. But as of right now, there’s not enough support to back up the aforementioned claims of sexual assault, which means Marilyn technically can’t be prosecuted — at least not by the DA office.

Fans who have been following the story will be aware that Marilyn’s Los Angeles home was thoroughly searched by Special Victims Unit investigators back in November, where several of his belongings were seized, including hard drives and media volumes. There were also claims that Marilyn would allegedly lock women in a soundproof room at his LA home as punishment when they didn’t adhere to his requests.

In early 2021, police had visited Marilyn while a helicopter circled around his house after someone had called for a welfare check. The Sweet Dreams star has vehemently denied any sexual assault accusations made against him, including those from his ex-girlfriend, Evan Rachel Wood, who he dated for just under five years starting in mid-2006.
She later accused him of sexually assaulting her while she was sleeping after he had allegedly drugged her with meth and sleeping pills. In a clip taken from her documentary Phoenix Rising, which premiered on HBO Max in March, she detailed one of the alleged horrific incidents, saying, “I’d wake up, I just remember doing the mental math quickly and thinking, “Just stay, just stay asleep, don’t move, just don’t move.”
“So I would just lie limp and still until it was over, and then I swear to God, he would just fling my leg and walk out of the room.” She also claimed that Marilyn was against the idea of her using birth control during their relationship, which subsequently led to her pregnancy in 2011, which she ended up terminating. Rachel said that right after her abortion, she remembered Marilyn saying to her, “Make me dinner.”
”I’m supposed to be resting – my body has gone through this trauma… there’s aftermath here.” And he didn’t care.”
