Maria Menounos’ Mother Litsa Dies After Battle With Brain Cancer
Socialites, let’s take this time to send love and prayers to Maria Menounos who shared that her mother Litsa Menounos has died after a long battle with brain cancer.

The former E! News host took to Instagram over the weekend to share the sad news with her supporters. She posted a photo of her in bed with her mother along with the caption that read “RIP mom. god loved her so much he took her on greek easter.” “Christ is risen mom,” she also wrote in Greek.
Litsa was diagnosed with stage IV brain cancer back in 2016 and her daughter received a diagnosis of her own the following year. In a video uploaded to her YouTube channel back in April, the 42-year-old shared that both her parents had also been hospitalized after testing positive for COVID-19 late last year, just as her family had received news that her mother’s tumor was growing.
Fans and celebrity friends took to the Instagram comments section of Menounos’ post to offer their condolences to her late mother: “We send you so much love. Our deepest condolences Maria,” actress Zoe Saldana wrote. Jamie Lynn Spears added, “Sending all my love,” while Former E! News host and reporter Catt Sadler wrote: “I know one thing for certain – your mother knew the most extraordinary love there ever was to know because of you. Your devotion to her was unparalleled. She’s with other angels now. Sending all my love.”
