The assault weapon was purchased by Dominick Black at a Rusk County hardware store in May 2020 due to Rittenhouse being too young to purchase the gun. Several months later on August 25 of that year, Rittenhouse traveled to Kenosha, Wisconsin to a rally where he fatally shot two people and injured another. Recently, Rittenhouse was found not guilty of murder but Black was still facing charges for purchasing the assault rifle for him.

A plea agreement was filed by Assistant District Attorney Thomas Binger which suggests Black will plead no contest to citations, pay a $2,000 fine and his felony counts could be dismissed as reported by Baller Alert.

His hearing was scheduled for Monday morning and the deal could be rejected by Judge Bruce Schroeder or dismissed by the judge based on the original felony counts regarding his ruling about minors and firearms law used in Rittenhouse’s case.

Black’s attorney, Anthony Cotton, hopes Schroeder will accept the plea deal.
