A Baltimore man took matters into his own hands and decided to steal an ambulance so he could rush to the hospital after suffering a heart attack on Monday.

The 38-year-old man contacted 911 after suffering the heart attack and after medics from the Baltimore City Fire Department responded to the scene, the unidentified identified man jumped into the ambulance and drove off. Moments after he stole the vehicle, police officers caught up with him at the MedStar Harbor Hospital.
During his arrest, the man explained to officers that he had a heart attack and took the vehicle to receive medical treatment.

Officers determined that the man was having a medical crisis and no injuries or deaths were reported. However, there were no further details on whether the man will be facing charges for stealing the emergency vehicle.
