A Texas woman fatally shot her ex-boyfriend after he broke into her home last Wednesday night.
KSAT reports Javier Manuel Plata,24, broke into his ex-girlfriend’s San Antonio home and was shot moments after she discovered him. Police say the woman was in the bathroom when she heard Plata walking up the stairs and she grabbed her shotgun. Moments after she spotted Plata, the woman opened fire when he entered her bathroom. Hours before the shooting, Plata consistently texted the 33-year-old woman and she told police that she changed her locks.

Emergency medics transported Plata to University Hospital where he later died.

Additionally, Plata waited for the woman to come home and she told him to leave. He cooperated with her and left but came back to the home and forced the window open.
Police say the woman will not face any charges for the shooting.
