A Connecticut man received a fake COVID-19 vaccine card in place of a passport holder he ordered from Amazon.

After receiving the document, the man informed Connecticut State Rep. Matt Blumenthal who later told Attorney General William Tong’s office. The office later contacted Amazon about the card and the platform said they will be removing the listing along with flagging the seller who provided the card.
Blumenthal also thanked the man for reporting the mishap in a tweet that reads: “Fake COVID-19 vaccine cards are a fraud on the public health — and a crime. Thanks to this constituent for reporting this listing to me, and to @AGWilliamTon ’s office for its swift action.”

According to Business Insider, the company recently removed a listing for a pack of 10 blank vaccination cards.
