Man Owes $30K After Destroying Cemetery To “Resurrect” His Grandmother

A Tennessee man was arrested earlier this week after he cause $30,000 in damages at a local cemetery.

34-year-old Danny Frazier of Knoxville broke into the Huckleberry Springs Cemetery to “resurrect” his grandmother, Edna Ruth Frazier, who died in 2012 on Monday. Deputies responded to a call around 2:30 p.m. after reports of a homeless man digging holes and destroying headstones in several areas of the property. Originally the cemetery planned to charge him between $10,000 to $60,000 in damages but officially charged him with $30,000.

Reports claim he did not have any prior arrest records and deputies charged him with two felony counts for vandalism and criminal trespassing.

There was an instance in 2015 when Frazier was evicted from his apartment after he refused to leave several times.

The Knox Sheriff’s County Office currently has Frazier in custody at the local county jail and his bail has been set for $30,000. His preliminary hearing scheduled for October 19.
