Imagine sitting in your bathroom, relaxed and carefree, when suddenly an unexpected creature inflicts excruciating pain. This is exactly what happened to an unlucky man in Thailand.
Thanat Thangtewanon encountered a 12-foot python hiding in the U-bend of his toilet on Tuesday. He shared the aftermath of the incident on social media, describing how he went to the bathroom as usual but encountered a startling creature.
Moments after casually sitting down for his daily release, he felt a sudden sharp pain in his testicles. Shocked by the feeling he jumped up and noticed the snake as well as his blood all over the floor and toilet seat. Now despite the terrifying situation, Thanat bravely grabbed the snake and attempted to pull it out of the toilet. Realizing the python was too strong, he struck the snake multiple on its head until it succumbed.

After the encounter, Thanat sought medical attention at a hospital for a tetanus vaccine and further treatment. According to the Daily Mail, Thanat expressed relief that the snake was not a cobra.
Incidents involving pythons attacking people in toilets have occurred multiple times in Thailand. As the new site noted, in 2016, a resident named Attaporn Boonmakchuay was bitten by a 10-foot python while using a squat toilet in Chachoengsao province. Although he lost a significant amount of blood and passed out, he survived after receiving treatment at Chularat Hospital.
Fortunately, Thanat also survived to share his wild story.
