Man Gets 90 COVID-19 Shots To Sell Fake Vaccine Cards

A man from Magdeburg, Germany was arrested after reportedly receiving the COVID-19 vaccine 90 times in order to sell forged vaccination cards.

Police said the 60-year-old man received up to 90 COVID shots for months until authorities caught onto the scheme. He was discovered after he received the vaccine two days in a row at a vaccination center in Eilenburg, Saxony. During the arrest, police said he possessed blank vaccination cards and it is unclear the impact the different vaccine brands had on his personal health as reported by the Daily Mail.

There have been several raids in Germany in connection with the forgery of vaccination cards in recent months. Thousands of civilians have refused to get the vaccine but want the COVID vaccination cards in order to have access to swimming pools, restaurants, theaters, and several other places requiring the cards.

Currently, the country has 74,053 reported cases as of today due to the BA.2 omicron variant causing a surge of infections. The country’s disease control also reported there were 111,224 reported daily infections last week.
