Man Discovers Over $8M In Account After Checking For Stimulus Check
An Indiana man got quite the surprise when he went to check his bank account for his $1700 Stimulus check and ended up finding $8.2 million.
Charles Calvin, a volunteer firefighter from New Chicago, was confused when he found $8.2-million sitting in his account. He repeatedly checked his account with the ATM to check if it was real!
“I went to the ATM at the Family Express and once I withdrew $200 out of my account I looked at the available balance still left in my account,” Calvin told WGNTV. “Apparently, my account had 8.2 million dollars in it.”

“I ran the card again and again. I was like ‘Man, what is going on with this?’” Calvin added.
Unfortunately, on Monday when Calvin called his bank the millions were gone and he was left with his $1700 Stimulus check. More than the rest of us!
“It kind of sucks,” he said. “You go from being a millionaire one second then back to being broke again. But hey, once you’re poor you don’t have anywhere else to go but up.”
Calvin said he’s not sure if the error was on his bank’s part or due to the IRS.
“It gives you pause and makes you think what’s going on,” he said. “If there’s some sort of clerical error or whatnot, they should be on top of it.”
