The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department reported the incident took place after the unidentified 40-year-old man was asked to leave a business Saturday morning and had an argument with another person while walking to his car. Shortly after, the man drove his vehicle onto the sidewalk and almost hit a few pedestrians before his truck hit a tree.
The group approached the vehicle and started attacking the man until he became unresponsive. Medics said he died at the scene after suffering from blunt-force trauma.

No charges were filed against the group after they underwent questioning with detectives. Lt. Hugo Reynaga said in a statement that it was unclear as to who was fighting with who due to the quality of the surveillance video.
“You could see there was a fight going on, but you couldn’t tell who was doing what,”
