Man Charged In Brutal Nursing Home Beating Of 73-Year-Old Man

Jaden Hayden, 20, is facing assault charges following a viral video that shows him repeatedly punching 73-year-old Norman Bledsoe at a nursing home. The man suffered head injuries and had to be hospitalized.

Hayden initially claimed that his roommate had fallen off the bed and that he was helping him at the Westwood Rehabilitation Nursing Center. However, he shared a video of the sadistic attack online.

“Is this even possible to believe?” Trump tweeted last week after watching the video.

The horrific video shows 20-year-old Hayden hitting the elderly man numerous times, and reportedly stealing his credit cards. The video quickly reached the Detroit police, who arrested him.

The Detroit Free Press reports that Hayden was charged on Sunday with two counts of assault, larceny, and two counts of stealing a financial transaction device. His bail is set at $300,000.

“The alleged actions of this defendant are truly and uniquely disturbing. We must be able to trust our loved ones in specialty care facilities. I truly hope that the facts of this case are one of a kind,” Prosecutor Kym Worthy said.
