Man Charged For 7-Year-Old’s Murder At McDonald’s Drive-Thru
An 18-year-old Chicago man, identified as Marion Lewis, has been arrested and charged for the murder of 7-year-old Jaslyn Adams, who was fatally shot while waiting in line at a McDonald’s drive-thru.
On Thursday (Apr. 22), officers arrested Lewis after a police chase on Eisenhower Expressway. Upon booking, Lewis was charged with 18 counts, including first-degree murder, attempted first-degree murder, aggravated discharge of a firearm, and aggravated vehicular hijacking.

While authorities haven’t confirmed if Lewis was the man behind the gun that killed Adams, they reportedly found two weapons in his vehicle, including an AK-47, which have been connected to the murder of the 7-year-old. CPD Chief of Detectives Brendan Deenihan says, “Both those weapons that were on his person that were recovered, they did test positive to the murder weapons used at the scene to kill Jaslyn.”
