The man went to Zeppet, the Japan-based costume company that made the viral collie costume for a client last year. According to Oddity Central, Zeppet’s goal is to make animal costumes that are designed to suit human anatomy. They confirmed in an announcement that their latest client’s request was challenging because of the wolf costume. However, the client said he was satisfied with his suit because it looked exactly how he imagined it.

“My order to ‘look like a real wolf walking on hind legs’ was difficult – to say the least – but the complete suit looked exactly like what I imagined. Not only did the specs perfectly cover all of my preferences, but the ventilation slit for the wearer’s comfort and the devices that let the wearer put it on without help showed me that the designers paid close attention to the wearer’s comfort.”

The unknown client also said he was inspired by films from his childhood and was stunned by the costume’s fitting.

“Because of my love for animals since childhood and some realistic animal suits appearing on TV, I dreamed of being one someday. At the final fitting, I was amazed at my transformed self in the mirror. It was a moment when my dream come true.”

However, the man who was also inspired by purchasing the realistic dog costume was reportedly concerned about his appearance and didn’t want to be seen as weird by his peers months after purchasing his own costume last year. His identity remains unknown and he only goes by the name Toco.

“I rarely tell my friends because I am afraid they will think I am weird. My friends and family seemed very surprised to learn I became an animal. Since childhood, I have had this unspecific fantasy of becoming an animal. I wonder whether it was a desire for transformation,”

Some Internet commentators still believe the decision to become a dog can stem from other issues but others feel like Toco is an inspiration to fulfill your own dreams when putting your mind to it. “Weird is not the right word for this. Mentally ill is the correct term. Just like the guy who spent over $100,000 to cover himself from head to toe in tattoos to look like a cat including implanted whiskers, or the other freak who did a similar thing to look like a lizard. Mentally ill people should not be encouraged in their delusions,” one person wrote.

Another said in response, “Who can say one word wrong about this guy? He is just enjoying life and living it his own way. Nothing wrong with that.”
