A New Mexico man was arrested last Tuesday after he attempted to pay an undercover cop who posed as a prostitute with a hamburger.
According to Newsweek, Dominic Calderon,36, was riding his bicycle on Central Ave in Albuquerque on Jan.28 when he approached the undercover female cop and asked her for the price of a sexual encounter. After she accepted his offer, Calderon apparently told the officer that he had no money because he was waiting to recieve his paycheck from his on Friday and asked for a phone number so he could contact her for future services.

The officer noticed Calderon was carrying a bag from Chili’s and asked him what was inside. He told her that it was a hamburger and she said he could use the hamburger as payment. After agreeing to the exchange, Calderon was arrested for patronizing a prostitute. He is also a convicted sex offender.

Calderon could face six months in jail and a $500 fine. His burger was confiscated during the arrest and will be used as evidence. He is expected to appear in court on Feb. 28.
