40-year-old Jarrod Rodriguez hid in the trunk of his ex-girlfriend’s trunk on Thursday and waited for her to leave from her home in Harrison. According to police, Rodriguez attacked the victim moments after she drove onto the highway after jumping into the front seat of the car. The arrest affidavit said Rodriguez “struck the victim with a closed fist in the right side of her face, made the victim believe he was going to kill her by pulling a black handgun and a knife out of his backpack, putting the gun to the victim’s right side of her body and telling her she ‘had two hours to change his mind.’”
Then he demanded the victim to drive faster and told her where to go then threatened to shoot her up with enough heroin “that will make her overdose.”
