Malia Obama Joins Donald Glover In New Amazon Series Centered Around ‘Beyoncé-Like Character’
Malia Obama is taking her talents to Amazon as she reportedly joins Donald Glover in a new series called ‘Hive,’ which apparently will be centered around a “Beyoncé-like character,” and stems from ‘Watchmen‘ writer Janine Nabers.
Per The Hollywood Reporter, sources say Obama has joined the writing staff for one of Glover’s first projects at Amazon — which is all a part of his multi-year, eight-figure overall deal with them. Glover reportedly left his pact with Disney-owned FX for his new deal with Amazon. It’s reported that his brother, Stephen Glover who wrote and produced on ‘Atlanta,’ has also signed an overall deal with the company.

Along with getting a content channel on Prime Video, Glover’s newest project, which Obama is reportedly working on with him, has been in the works for a few weeks, as they’ve begun staffing a writers room, with Obama being recruited. Additional details haven’t been made readily available, and the company have declined to comment anything. #Socialites, are you here for this?
