Majority Halloween Events Cancelled Due To COVID-19

If like us you waited all year to attend your favorite fright-filled event on Halloween, then your just as disappointed to learn that almost every single annual scare-fest has been canceled due to COVID-19.

Safety always comes first, but COVID already took the Summer away and decrease some didn’t want to social distance in the early days, it has now crept up and is taking over our favorite Fall festivities. What’s next Christmas?

Universal Studios Hollywood and Orlando have canceled their popular Horror Nights, The Queen Mary in Long Beach, California has opted out, and Knotts Berry farm just announced that they will also be canceling their event.

“Universal Orlando Resort and Universal Studios Hollywood have made the difficult decision to not hold Halloween Horror Nights events this year. Universal Orlando Resort will be focusing exclusively on operating its theme parks for daytime guests, using the enhanced health and safety procedures already in place. Universal Studios Hollywood continues to face ongoing business restrictions and uncertainty around its opening timeframe,” said the studios.

Knotts Berry Farm shared a similar statement,

“Regrettably, due to continued operating restrictions related to the pandemic we have had to make the very difficult decision to cancel our highly anticipated 2020 Knott’s Scary Farm event,” Knott’s officials said. “We know that this news is disappointing, but we look forward with great enthusiasm to making 2021 Knott’s Scary Farm our best year ever.”

So far there has been no word yet if Six Flags plans on canceling its annual Fright Fest.
