Major! Kim Kardashian’s SKIMS Is Now The Official Underwear Partner Of The NBA!

One thing about Kim Kardashian, she’s going to secure a bag! This Monday it was announced that her SKIMS brand has partnered with the NBA.

In a joint collab post with her shape-wear brand, the NBA said, “Introducing the SKIMS and NBA partnership. SKIMS is now the Official Underwear Partner of the NBA. @skims @kimkardashian.” The post also included photos of the reality star and business mogul with NBA Commissioner Adam Silver and CEO of SKIMS Jens Grede.

This big move comes just days after Kim introduced the expansion of SKIMS with her men’s collection. In a statement, Kim said, “I am incredibly proud of SKIMS partnership with the NBA, as it is a reflection of SKIMS growing influence on culture. Together, SKIMS and the NBA will connect people of all backgrounds through fashion, sport, and talent, and I look forward to seeing the partnership thrive.”

Jens Grede added, “The NBA’s modern approach and significant impact on pop culture, entertainment, and fashion is unparalleled in sports. Our partnership marks a remarkable opportunity for SKIMS and the NBA to work together on what it means to engage the next generation of consumers and fans through basketball.”

Speaking more on the success of SKIMS, NBA Commissioner Adam Silver also said, “SKIMS has quickly become one of our most culturally influential brands. We look forward to bringing NBA fans and SKIMS users unique experiences, new offerings, and premium products through our partnership. Together, SKIMS, the NBA, WNBA, and USA Basketball will leverage the power of basketball to generate excitement and demand, by showing up in unexpected ways.”

So how will this look? Well, according to the press release fans will see the partnership come to life at future events, including NBA All-Star and the NBA In-Season Tournament.

More On SKIMS And The New Collection

Kim Kardashian debuted her wildly popular intimates brand, Skims, in 2019. She explained that the primary inspiration behind its first collection was as a line of “solution-oriented” sculpting shapewear modeled after the many self-customized undergarments she’d worn over the years.

Earlier this year it was reported that the shapewear line raised a fresh $270 million in funding, pushing its valuation to $4 billion–adding around $500 million to Kardashian’s fortune.

This month, she officially launched her menswear collection. After dropping last week,
TMZ reported that her SKIMS website received 25,000 requests to buy Kim’s designs for men’s underwear and other undergarments. It only took 5 minutes for the 25K orders to be placed. The Skims company made millions of dollars in just a few minutes, making it another record-breaking achievement.
