Madonna Joins Meek Mill & JAY-Z REFORM Alliance, Donates 100K Masks To Facilities
Madonna has joined Meek Mill and JAY-Z in their REFORM Alliance efforts by donating 100,000 surgical masks to correctional facilities across the country battling COVID-19.
The legendary pop star has partnered with the organization via her Ray of Light Foundation. Of the 100,000 total, 50,000 of them are headed to Cook County Jail and the Illinois Department of Corrections — one of the hardest hit facilities; where more than 600 prisoners, staffers and deputies have been infected, and seven have died.

Additionally, 20,000 will be sent the Louisiana Department of Corrections, with the remaining 30,000 headed to California’s Vacaville Prison, New York’s FCI Ray Brook and Massachusetts’ Suffolk County Sheriff’s Department.
In addition to Meek and Hov, Van Jones, Bob Kraft and 76ers partner Michael Rubin are also a part of the alliance. Meanwhile, Rubin shares, “It’s absolutely crucial that we protect our inmates and prison staff, especially since social distancing guidelines are difficult to abide by in these facilities.”
