The awkward incident unfolded during her L.A. concert at the Kia Forum in Inglewood. During her set, Madonna pointed at the fan and exclaimed, “What are you doing sitting down over there? What are you getting sitting down?” Little did she know, she was about to face an extremely cringe-worthy moment
As the music faded into an awkward silence, Madonna sauntered over to the edge of the stage, ready to give this supposed slacker a piece of her mind. However, when she came face to face with the truth – she realized the fan was in a wheelchair. Cue the collective gasp from the audience and the internal facepalm from Madonna. The pop icon then quickly apologized after realizing her embarrassing mistake. “Oh, okay. Politically incorrect. Sorry about that. I’m glad you are here,” she said after seeing that the person was indeed in a wheelchair.

Although it came off as a Smooth recovery, it seems like damage was already done. Fan-captured footage of the mishap spread like wildfire on social media, with netizens quick to point out the unintentional faux pas.
One person tweeted, “It’s not about “political correctness,” it’s about not being an asshole, thanks. Another said, “The way that I would have walked out if she had done this to me.
