Luke Perry & Cameron Boyce Left Out from Oscars 2020 ‘In Memoriam’ Segment

Like every year at the Oscars, the Academy Awards held a moment to pay tribute to the stars who have sadly passed away.

While the “In Memoriam” segment included NBA star Kobe Bryant, Kirk Douglas, John Singleton and more, viewers noticed that there were some people left out like, actors Luke Perry, Cameron Boyce, and Tim Conway.

As we previously reported, Perry died in March 2019 at the age of 52. He was hospitalized after suffering from a stroke and died five days later. Fans were extremely upset that the late actor was subbed especially because he appeared in “Riverdale” and “Once Upon a Time in Hollywood,” one of the evening’s top nominated movies. As actress Skai Jackson pointed out on Instagram, the academy also left out her good friend and fellow actor Cameron Boyce, who died in his sleep at the age of 20 due to a seizure in July of last year.

Billie Eilish covered ‘The Beatles’ song “Yesterday” while a montage of stars from the film community were highlighted on the big screen. The academy did not explain the reason for leaving those stars out of the segment.
