A Louisiana school bus driver was caught on video assaulting a student who reportedly attacked him while operating the vehicle.

A school bus driver unleashes his anger toward a student who reportedly attacked him
The incident took place Friday when Jerome McNabb,72, was finishing his bus route when the student reportedly spits, kicked, and even threw a water bottle during the ride. Social media comments also said the boy was hitting McNabb at one point before the recorded attack. In the video, McNabb is seen wearing a light blue shirt and punching the child repeatedly, calling him a “motherf**er” and kicking him moments later.
McNabb was later arrested that day for the assault and the St. Helena School District said in a statement that they are currently working with law enforcement and the bus company after receiving the video as reported by WBRZ.

“The St. Helena Parish School District is aware of the incident involving a bus driver and a learner that occurred today. We immediately investigated the actions of the driver of the bus company that is contracted to transport our learners. A review of the video resulted in a referral of this matter to the St. Helena Parish Sheriff’s Office.”
St. Helena’s Parish deputies also issued a statement on Facebook about the incident and confirmed McNabb’s arrest. They also stated that the victim was in the custody of his parents at the time of the arrest.
“It was brought to Sheriff Williams attention about the video involving the bus driver and student. After viewing the video, the bus driver Jerome McNabb, a 72-year-old black male was arrested and is currently being held at the St. Helena Parish Jail. The child is in the custody of his parents. Nothing further to report at this time.”
Social media responds to the incident, most take the side of the bus driver
It is unknown about the child’s condition but social media has responded to the case and stated they don’t agree with McNabb’s actions but they understand why he lashed out at the child. One Facebook user said, “Now he was definitely wrong with his reaction but yall Get ready because these kids really about to wild out now since they know ain’t nothing the teachers/staff can do about it.”
“I’m not saying he was right. But I’m also not saying he was wrong. If I’d done that growing up I’d got it from the bus driver and then my parents when I got home! There’s no discipline in the schools anymore & kids think they’re grown! Parents will just blame the bus driver and their poor baby was innocent “
Another commenter said disciplinary action should be taken against the child for their actions and McNabb belongs in jail for the assault.
“He need to be right where he at,in jail!! The kid need to be expelled,and they need to bring charges against the parent!! All of them was wrong and just cause he old don’t mean s$&t! He kicked that kid like a dog!”
