Louisiana Pastor Calls COVID-19 Parishioner Deaths, Sacrifices For God
Like many leaders who refuse to shutter their doors amid the coronavirus (COVID-19) quarantine, a Louisiana pastor follows, and even says if a parishioner perishes, it’ll be one of the many sacrifices done for God.
Tony Spell, of Life Tabernacle Church in Baton Rouge, claims, “True Christians do not mind dying; they fear living in fear.” He adds that, “People that can prefer tyranny over freedom do not deserve freedom.”

Answering the question on whether he’d feel like he had blood on his hands if someone passes by breaking quarantine to attend his service, he responds with, “no,” then proceeds to recite a bible verse. He adds, “[If someone where to die after seeing this, I’d tell their family,] they died like free people, fighting for their convictions.”
Spell goes onto claim, “People die in my church of cancer, HIV/AIDS…” He then sends a message to scientists, “Scientists need to know that God gave us a strong immune system and the only way we’re going to destroy the virus …is to get on with life.”
