The man, only identified as Li, won the $30.6 million jackpot earlier this week after playing the same number for ten years. He said he usually plays 19-26-27-29-02 and recently spent $11 to buy 40 tickets for the same drawing. According to UPI, each number became a winning ticket for $765,000, leaving him with a large lump sum. While claiming his prize, Li appeared wearing a bright yellow cartoon mascot suit and told the lottery official that he wanted to keep his lottery win a secret from his wife.
“I have not told my wife or children. I am concerned that they might feel superior to other people and will not work or study hard in future,”

Li says he will use the lottery winnings and donate to a fund that supports vulnerable communities in China. However, he doesn’t know what to do with the rest of the funds.
The image of Li went viral on social media after it was revealed why he wore the costume, which caused users to make up their scenarios.
