Lori Loughlin Speaks On 2 Month Prison Sentencing In College Admissions Scandal
Lori Loughlin is feeling “awful” after learning of her 2 month federal prison sentencing for her role in the big college admissions scandal. As we reported yesterday, Loughlin and husband Mossimo Giannulli were sentenced, with the latter receiving 5 months.
After the judge detailed her fate, Loughlin stated, “I made an awful decision. I went along with a plan to give my daughters an unfair advantage in the college admissions process. In doing so, I ignored my intuition and allowed myself to be swayed from my moral compass. I thought I was acting out of love for my children, but in reality it only undermined and diminished my daughters’ abilities and accomplishments”

In addition to her 2-month bid, Loughlin will have to pay $150,000 in fines and be placed under two years of supervised release, while her husband will have to pay a $250,000 fine and complete 250 hours of community service in addition to his 5-month federal bid. Along with Loughlin and Giannulli, actress Felicity Huffman also played a role in the scandal, but pleaded guilty immediately, which led to her receiving a much more lenient, two-week prison sentenced, which she served in October 2019.
Furthermore, of the 35 parents who were implicated in the crime, 24 pleaded guilty and were sentenced to as much as nine months in federal prison, with fines as high as $850,000.
