Lori Harvey, who’s recently been linked to Damson Idris dating rumors, is opening up about her love life — sort of kind of — as she speaks with ‘Essence’ about self-love. Harvey admits she’s deciding to be a little selfish and “is NOT compromising” on her value and happiness.

While being featured in the magazine, the SKN by LH founder took a moment to speak up on self-love.
Harvey said: “This moment is about me. I feel like it’s always been [about] me attached to something or someone. This time, it’s about me. Self-love, self-care, self-reflection. I’m being a little self-ish right now. It’s my time.”

She continued, “I know my worth, and I know my value. I’m not going to compromise that, or settle, or accept anything less than what I know I deserve. That’s where I’m at in my life right now. I’m not compromising my peace and happiness for anything or anybody.”
Meanwhile, Harvey has been newly linked to British actor Damson Idris, who is notable for his role as “Franklin Saint” in the FX show ‘Snowfall.’

Harvey and Idris were recently spotted out in Los Angeles together, on more than one occasion. Over this past weekend, the two stepped outside for dinner at Olivetta in West Hollywood, then they reportedly met again at Catch Steak to party with friends for Zack Bia‘s birthday.
Idris continued to fuel the dating rumors with Harvey after reposting her cover photo on ‘Essence‘ on his Instagram Story today.
Previously, in June, Harvey called it quits with American actor Michael B. Jordan. the two had been dating for about a year.
While speaking with ‘Essence,’ Harvey said she is now just trying to figure things out with her love life, all while keeping out of the public eye.
Harvey said, “What I would love for people to know is that I am a young woman just trying to figure it out–but I’m trying to figure it out in the public eye. That magnifies everything. It magnifies your mistakes. It magnifies the ups and downs of just navigating your life and figuring it out yourself.”
