LL Cool J recently made a few jokes on why he believes he’s never been invited to Jay Z’s infamous Roc Nation brunches.
The 55-year-old rap legend was recently on Big Boy’s Neighborhood podcast, where he revealed that he once laughed at JAY-Z during a high school rap battle and suspects that’s the reason why he’s never received an invitation to the Roc Nation Brunch that’s hosted every year leading up to the Grammy Awards.

“I love everybody. I don’t have no problems with none of these guys, man,” he told radio host Big Boy. “If I laughed, okay, so what? Laugh at me. How many people have you laughed at or snapped on in the lunch room?” The rapper added, “I laughed at you so now I can’t have no brunch? I can’t have no finger food?” He joked.
Back in February Beyonce and Jay Z were joined by a large amount of friends, family, colleagues and proteges at a private residence in the hills above Los Angeles after Roc Nation sent out an invitation to “join us for a celebration of the highest elevation of self.”
As fans walked up to the venue, they were welcomed by a small orchestra positioned along a pathway leading up to an uncovered rotunda area. The walls of the roofless foyer were decorated with photos from previous Roc Nation Brunches, including a portrait of Lauren London and Nipsey Hussle captured weeks before his death in 2019.
Just like previous iterations of the exclusive affair, guests seem to have been encouraged to keep to specific colors when it came to their outfits, with shades of pink, white, green and gray seen on most of the guest. Beyoncé donned a futuristic white outfit reminiscent of the style aesthetic she’s used to promote her seventh studio album Renaissance.
According to The Sun, the singer has been busy rehearsing out in Paris, France ahead of her first show, which takes place in Stockholm, Sweden on May 10.

But this concert, per the news publication, will be different from any other touring artist right now because Bey has reportedly secured herself a “gigantic” stage that’s so huge, she had to rent out the largest indoor arena in Europe just so that she can run through her rehearsals, hence why she’s now believed to be in France.
For those who don’t know, the La Defense Arena is the biggest indoor concert venue in the EU with a capacity of 40,000 people, and that’s where Beyonce’s crew have been getting ready for the most anticipated tours of the year.
