Looks like more people are coming forward and detailing their experiences with Lizzo. Sophia Nahli Allison who is an Oscar nominated filmmaker from Los Angeles took to her twitter Tuesday to say she “walked away” from directing a documentary about Lizzo because of how the singer treated her.
Allison’s comments comes after Lizzo was sued by three of her former backup dancers who accused the artist of sexual harassment and weight-shaming. Allison claims she spent two weeks with Lizzo and couldn’t take it anymore. “In 2019, I traveled a bit with Lizzo to be the director of her documentary. I walked away after 2 weeks. I was treated with such disrespect by her,” Allison wrote. “I witnessed how arrogant, self-centered, and unkind she is,” she said. “I was not protected and thrown into a sh*tty situation with little support. My spirit said to run as fast as you f*cking can and I’m so grateful I trusted my gut.”

Charlene Sanchez who is another person that was allegedly apart of this documentary claims that Allison’s comments were all true. “I was apart of this documentary with Sophia this is all true. I had to vent to so many of my friends about it. It was such a small crew and the experience of working with Lizzo was a nightmare.” She said.
The three dancers, Arianna Davis, Crystal Williams, and Noelle Rodriguez, sparked some shocking news with the information they revealed! One of the dancers claims Lizzo would speak badly about her weight gain and even fired her because she was recording on her phone during a meeting. Another person says Lizzo would falsely accuse the dancers of drinking on the job. Then one of the more shocking details includes one of the dancers alleging the singer pressured them to touch “nude performers, catching dildos launched from the performers’ vaginas, and eating bananas protruding from the performers’ vaginas.”
“BGBT management treated the Black members of the dance team differently than other members. BGBT’s management team consisted almost entirely of white Europeans who often accused the Black members of the dance team of being lazy, unprofessional, and having bad attitudes,” the plaintiffs write in the lawsuit. “Not only do these words ring familiar as tropes used to disparage and discourage Black women from advocating for themselves, but the same accusations were not levied against dancers who are not Black.”
Lizzo hasn’t responded back to any of these claims at the moment, but #Socialites do you think all of these allegations could be true?
If these allegations our true then this is sad. Another example of hurt people hurting people. Based on how badly she has reacted in the past to comments and scrutiny I can’t imagine that she’s going to take this well at all.
