Oop! A snatched Lizzo snatches the last laugh after former NFL player Antonio Brown makes an Ozempic joke about the “Truth Hurts” singer.
Just days after the results of the 2024 presidential election, Lizzo took to her social media pages in an effort to comfort Americans who were distraught and disappointed at former President Donald Trump defeating Vice President Kamala Harris. Lizzo was one of many celebrities involved in the 2024 presidential election as she publicly endorsed and even campaigned for VP Harris in Detroit, Michigan, the singer’s hometown.
While uplifting her fans and others, Lizzo shared a video of her writing on a plain white sheet of paper. With a blue pen in her left hand, she began to write on the page, “Sending LOVE to everyone in the WORLD. xoxo Lizzo!”

Responding to Lizzo’s video on X (formerly Twitter), retired NFL player Antonio Brown, who is known for his wild antics and commentary online and in real life, reposted the clip and captioned it, “She hold the pen like she hold her Ozempic shot…”
Instead of destroying Antonio Brown and reading him for filth or clapping back at him in a mutually destructive manner, Lizzo opted to maintain her dignity, hold her head high, and take the higher road. While sharing a series of photos of her sporting revealing bikinis, one-piece bathing suits, and other scantily-clad outfits, Lizzo repurposed Antonio Brown’s Ozempic joke and captioned her post, “Holding life like an Ozempic pen… 😝.”
Antonio Brown’s Ozempic joke about Lizzo follows the singer having to publicly shut down rumors about her recent and shocking weight loss. Back in September, she told the world that she did not use Ozempic to transform her body, but instead lost it all the natural way: exercising and changing her diet.
Taking to her Instagram with a video showing her transformation with before and after clips, Lizzo wrote, “When you finally get Ozempic allegations after 5 months of weight training and calorie deficit.” Despite her explanation, social media continued to accuse her of using Ozempic or another weight loss drug.
Before this, Lizzo was also made fun of on a special episode of ‘South Park,’ which used her name for a phony weight loss drug offered to its main character “Cartman.” Lizzo ended up having the last laugh with that Ozempic joke too as she embraced and spun it by dressing up as the phony weight loss drug for Halloween 2024.
