Looks like Lizzo’s team is responding to a new lawsuit that is accusing the singer sexual harassment and hostile work environment again.

Her spokesman, Stefan Friedman, spoke with TMZ and told the outlet, “As Lizzo receives a Humanitarian Award tonight from the Black Music Action Coalition for the incredible charitable work she has done to lift up all people, an ambulance-chasing lawyer tries to sully this honor by recruiting someone to file a bogus, absurd publicity-stunt lawsuit who, wait for it, never actually met or even spoke with Lizzo.” He continues, “We will pay this as much attention as it deserves. None.”

As we previously reported, Asha Daniels claims she was forced to hear racist and fatphobic comments from members of Lizzo’s team while working super long hours on her tour. Daniels says she was hired by one of Lizzo’s team members, Amanda Nomura who is apart of Lizzo’s team. Nomura reportedly hired Daniels to work in wardrobe. According to the report, Daniels was forced to work long hours such as 6am-2am and was refused from getting breaks.

Daniels described Nomura as brutal, often making racist and fatphobic comments — allegedly calling Black women on the tour “dumb” “useless” and “fat.” Daniels also alleges that Lizzo forced her not to wear anything “sexy” around her because it would make her jealous because her boyfriend would sometimes be around them.

She continues to allege that she hurt ankle on day and came to work in a pair of crocks and was told she had to put on tennis shoes. Daniels claims her experience on the tour has left her with ongoing anxiety and PTSD as well as migraines, ocular distortions, brain fog and fatigue.

As we previously reported, Lizzo is already facing another lawsuit where Arianna Davis, Crystal Williams, and Noelle Rodriguez who are her former dancers have accused Lizzo of sexual harassment, weight shaming and more. Though Lizzo has denied the allegations, fans are still not sure whose story to believe. Lizzo released a statement to her Instagram denying the claims that read: “These last few days have been gut wrenchingly difficult and overwhelmingly disappointing. My work ethic, morals, and respectfulness have been questioned. My character has been criticized. Usually, I choose not to respond to false allegations but these are as unbelievable as they sound and too outrageous to not be addressed. These sensationalized stories are coming from former employees who have already publicly admitted that they were told their behavior on tour was inappropriate and unprofessional.”

“As an artist, I have always been very passionate about what I do. I take my music and my performances seriously because, at the end of the day, I only want to put out the best art that represents me and my fans. With passion comes hard work and high standards. Sometimes I have to make hard decisions but it’s never my intention to make anyone feel uncomfortable or like they aren’t valued as an important part of the team.”
