The shocking scene was captured when two lionesses were fighting with each other in front of the crowd and one of them, named Bega,  attacked trainer Maxim Orlov as he walked towards them with a pole. The lioness jumped on top of him and bit the man several times while pinning him to the ground as reported by the Daily Mail. Authorities also said the disturbing scene caused a pregnant woman in the audience to have a seizure after she was triggered by the event.

Orlov said while receiving treatment at a local hospital that the attacks are very rare but the 5-year-old Bega has been “has been wayward since childhood.”
