Looks like Lil Yachty is receiving some backlash after the rapper seemingly “dismissed” Sexyy Red opening up about being raped during a recent episode of his new podcast which is called, “Safe Space.”
During the conversation, Lil Yachty asked Sexyy Red to tell him and his cohost what the craziest thing that ever happened to her was. While thinking about the question Sexy Redd opened up and said, “I got raped before, that’s the craziest thing that’s ever happened to me.” After sharing that information Yachty and his cohost laughed and said they thought she would say something different.
After the clip made rounds on social media, many twitter users have weighed in on the topic and had some words for his new podcast: “The way lil yatchy dismisses sexyy red when he asked her what was the most traumatic thing that ever happened to her & she said “getting raped” .. he was like “ooooh yeah let’s talk about something else” then asked her about being a hood bitch that shoots guns is DISGUSTING 🤢,” one twitter user shared. Another person weighed in and said, “Lil Yachty ain’t sh*t. Sexyy Red said she got raped and that n*gga was basically like, “Ewwwww talk about something else.”
Many folks on Twitter believe this is why not everyone needs a podcast. Other than that part of the podcast making rounds on Twitter another clip from his podcast made rounds which had fans shocked about Sexyy Red’s comments where she revealed she doesn’t like when a man wears condoms while being in the bedroom. During the convo Yachty spoke about how he found a used condom in his girlfriends bed, which Sexyy explained that she had a similar experience.
“One time my friend was at my house, and she was in there with her n***a in the living room and I told them, ‘Do not fuck on my couch,'” she said. Shortly after that, the boyfriend of her friend came over and found a condom in her trash and told her boyfriend about it.
“It was not my condom, I still to this day don’t know where that condom came from,” she continued. “My n***a called me the next day and was like, ‘You had a condom in your trash can and stuff.’ I’m like, ‘That wasn’t my condom.’ I don’t use condoms, baby. I’m the raw dog queen. So, that didn’t come from me.”
