Lil Yachty Debuts New Line of Nail Polish Crete, Says It’s ‘4 ALL GENDERS’

On the heels of rapper BlocBoy JB calling out rappers for painting their nails, Lil Yachty debuts his new line of nail polish, Crete, and notes that it’s “4 ALL GENDERS.” Since winter 2020, Yachty’s been working on his new line and it’s finally here!

Taking to Instagram with photos of him holding and promoting the products, Yachty captioned the post, “I’d like to introduce my new nail paint line @ crete__co …. FIRST COLOR DROP MAY 21. 4 ALL GENDERS. FOR YOU, NOT THEM!” For the Georgia rapper, inclusivity and individualism have always been a part of his brand, dating back to his 2017 cover for his debut album, ‘Teenage Emotions.’

Also, Yachty’s been painting his finger and toe nails since learning of 17-year-old Trevor Wilkinson, who was suspended from his Texas school for wearing polish himself. Yachty spoke out and said, “If someone wants to express themself in any type of way, as long as it’s not harming anyone or bringing anyone down, they should be allowed to do so. … You shouldn’t be punished or tormented for being you. It’s essentially like, it’s unisex but I want it to be more focused on for men to use it, and to be more comfortable in their own skin. Because bro, it’s 2020, you know what I’m saying, like it’s about to be 2021—come on, what are barriers? We still have barriers?”
