During the interview, the rapper was asked about DaBaby’s alleged homophobic comments at Rolling Loud Miami which is now leaving Baby dropped from multiple festivals, endorsements and radio stations.

Lil Wayne was a little confused on the topic because he isn’t in tune to social media so after the staff made him more aware of exactly what has been going on the Young Money rapper basically said it all boils down to the nature of social media according to, HipHopdx.

You know how it does,” he said. “The spotlight on artists and celebrities is absolutely crazy. You don’t even have to be a celebrity. Even normal people can feel like they’re wrong because their 200 followers said something. But that’s the power of social media today.”

Now Lil Wayne is not a stranger to being in the hot seat himself as he went through some troubles with being “cancelled” for his meeting with former president Donald Trump.

The two were introduced right before the 2020 Presidential Election last year in October to go over Trump administration’s “Platinum Plan” for Black America. Weezy was later released by Trump in January, escaping a possible 10-year sentence in prison for federal weapon charges after an incident at the Miami airport in 2019.

“Progress is always possible,” Lil Wayne said when asked about how meaningful the meeting was. Brown then asked, “Did you get a lot of pushback for taking that meeting?,” to which Wayne replied, “Nah, not at all.”
