In an exclusive statement from DJ Akademiks, Lil Durk revealed that he still hasn’t been cleared to perform from his doctor after having some health issues.
In the statement the Chicago rapper shared, “Since I’m awaiting to get full clearance from my doctors to travel and perform again, I have no other choice but to cancel my headlining Rolling Loud performance. While I’m home resting, I am looking forward to my two homecoming shows on the 11th and 12th in Chicago. For the rest of the country, I’ll be announcing new dates soon. #StillHealing
As we previously reported, Lil Durk spent a week in the hospital after TMZ revealed the rapper was battling severe dehydration and exhaustion.
Durk previously released a statement to TMZ saying, “My fans mean everything to me, you’re the reason why I do this. I was looking forward to touching all of my European fans, performing this week(end), attending the ESPYs and more but after performing and traveling daily I’ve become severely dehydrated and advised by my doctors not to travel due to exhaustion. Once I get my full energy back, it’s back to business which I’m looking forward to. #StillHealing.”
Durk was sidelined by health issues in July 2022 after an explosive hit him in the face while he was performing at Lollapalooza in his hometown. Lil Durk managed to finish that show before taking a break to get back up to speed. “Due to the incident that happened at Lollapalooza in Chicago on stage, I’ma take a break and focus on my health,” he wrote on Instagram after that incident.

In the video, Durk was seen walking across the stage before being struck directly in the face by the blast. The music then cuts off as the rapper takes a few steps backward and covers his face with his white T-shirt. “Woah, you alright, bro?” his DJ can be heard asking as the rapper stumbled and wiped his eyes. “That one came a little close. That didn’t look like it shot straight up. That looked like it shot in a different direction.”
The rapper finished out his performance despite the incident, adding in his Instagram post: “I finished my performance yesterday for my fans. Appreciate y’all.”
