Yesterday Lil Nas X took to his social media accounts and told his fans he was accepted to Liberty University and he was going to pursue biblical studies and shared an acceptance letter attached to his post.

Well, TMZ received a statement from a spokesperson at the university and it seems Lil Nas X’s claims were all cap, according to the news outlet. “We can confirm that Liberty University did not issue the Montero Hill ‘acceptance letter’ posted yesterday to social media, and we have no record of Montero Hill applying to the University. Liberty University exists to glorify God by equipping men and women in higher education in fidelity to the Christian faith expressed through the Holy Scriptures.”

“We continue to pray for America and for the Gospel of Jesus Christ to be proclaimed across this land. We welcome all to apply and join us at Liberty University,” the statement read.

As we previously reported, the Grammy-winning artist – whose real name is Montero Hill – took to X (formerly Twitter) on Tuesday (9 January) to tell his followers that he had enrolled as a student at Liberty University, a Christian University based in Virginia.

“I know Twitter hates me right now but I want y’all to know I’m literally about to go to college for biblical studies in the fall. Not everything is a troll! Anyways IM A STUDENT AGAIN! LETS GOOO.”
